Philadelphia Orchard Project Fundraiser

Please join Philadelphia Orchard Project and the Friends of Sedgley Woods (FSW) next Saturday June 28th, where we will come together to support the planting of more community orchards in the city!

DATE: Saturday June 28th
TIME: 3pm-6pm
LOCATION: 33rd & Oxford at Sedgley Woods Disc Golf Course in East Fairmount Park
TICKETS: Eventbrite

We are excited for this event for many reasons but here are just a few:
– $15 gets you entry which includes a POP pint glass, disc golf lessons, tours of this East Fairmout Park site including the 18th centuty Cliff House ruins, and tasty snacks & beverages from Philadelphia Brewing Company, Brown Betty Cupcakes, Cosmic Catering, Shifty’s Tacos, and more!
– Sedgley Woods is right nearby the lovely Smith Playground for another fun family-friendly outing (also remember that kids under 12 get FREE ADMISSION to our fundraiser)
– The weather looks like it will be a wonderful 82 degrees (I know it’s still a week away, but we can always hope!)
– the Friends of Sedgley are excited to give disc golf lessons!
– There will be custom-made discs with the POP & FSW logos available for purchase
– Learn how to make a seed ball with native wildflower seeds and help beautify the meadow at Sedgley, or your own neighborhood!

As special incentive to buy your tickets now, I will buy the next 10 of my friends who purchase tickets on Eventbrite a raffle ticket by me to win exciting prizes from a ton of awesome local businesses like: Johnny Brenda’s, Green Street Coffee, Yard’s Brewery, Art Star, Blades Natural Beauty, Organic Gardening Magazine, Greensgrow, the Camden Aquarium, Café Chismosa, and more! Otherwise raffle tickets will be sold for $1 each of 6 for $5.
