PEC workshop discusses homeless black boys
The People’s Emergency Center’s Growing Up Homeless Forum Series will next discuss the topic, Fostering Resilience Among African American Boys Experiencing Homelessness on June 19th from 10am to noon.
The event will take place at PEC at 325 N. 39th Street in Powelton.
The discussion will allow participants to identify the opportunities and strategies for homeless service providers to engage boys, learn about PEC’s needs assessment and efforts to identify services for boys, and discuss their needs in the context of trauma, homelessness and child welfare. The forum is designed to be of interest to case managers, therapists, front-line staff and others who work with youth experiencing homelessness.
