Animal Art Adventure Camp

Below is the link to the information available about the Animal Art Adventure Camp, which is a partnership between the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and the University City Arts League. We would very much appreciate if you and your colleagues could identify some potential scholarship applicants who truly have an interest in animals. The camp is for children in grades 1-4.

The dates of the camp will be July 9-13th and July 16th-20th. The hours are 9am-4pm.

We will be offering 10 scholarships this year, some full, some partial. In order to apply, the child must draw a picture of his/her favorite animal and write a paragraph about why he/she would like to come to the camp this year. Evidence of household income must also be provided. Preference will be given to city residents of greatest need and those who have not had scholarship money from UCAL in the last 12 months. Deadline for scholarship applications will be April 23, 2007.

The remaining 15 (non-scholarship) places will be given on a ‘first-pay-first-get’ basis. The full cost of the camp is $200 per week with an additional charge of $30 per week for aftercare 4-5pm. Please note that scholarships do not include aftercare from 4-5pm.
