Audioconference to Focus on School Readiness ? April 19
Municipal strategies to promote school readiness will be the topic of a free, hour-long audioconference on Thurs., April 19, at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, sponsored by the National League of Cities’ Institute for Youth, Education, and Families. ?Supporting School Readiness: A Critical Economic Investment for Cities? will feature two cities ? Boston and San Antonio ? that are working to create a local infrastructure designed to prepare young children with the basic skills needed for academic success.
TO REGISTER FOR THIS FREE CALL, send complete contact information (name, title, dept./org., address, city, state, phone, fax, and email) to iyef@nlc.org or via fax to (202) 626-3043 by close of business Tues., April 17. No phone registrations can be accepted. If you wish, gather a group of people around a speaker phone and use the call as a springboard for brainstorming or training. One day prior to the call, each registrant will receive an email or fax providing a toll-free, dial-in number.
