March 6 and March 29, 2007
The U.S. Department of Education’s office of Federal Student Aid is pleased to invite you to an information session on the new Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG) and National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent (National SMART) Grant. The session will be offered via webinar (online seminar) on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 and then again on Thursday, March 29, 2007. Both webinars will take place from 1:00-2:00 P.M. Eastern Time.
Claire "Micki" Roemer, Federal Student Aid’s General Manager of School Services and Training, will present an overview of the ACG and National SMART Grant programs, explaining who is eligible, how a student applies, and how much money he or she can receive. There will be time for questions and answers at the end of the session.
You may register for the webinar at <a href="http://www.ed.gov/offices/OSFAP/training/index.html">http://www.ed.gov/offices/OSFAP/training/index.html</a>.

We look forward to your participation in the webinar and hope you will find it to be an effective way to learn about the new grant programs.
