Nominations for Wave Week Youth Camp
Posted by on April 28, 2006
That’s right, WAVE WEEK is fast approaching. It’s that time of year already! Many of you may already have plans underway for this coming summer. Remember last year and the fun you had at WAVE WEEK? We hope that Spark the Wave made a difference in your life. We know that you are doing great things at this very moment!
Spark the Wave is a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation. Our mission is to "encourage and empower youth (like you) through educational opportunities and programs to take the lead in meeting the needs of their communities through service." In order to continue to reach as many young people as possible, we need your help.
Because you are one of our most valuable assets, we would like to offer you the opportunity to nominate a delegate for WAVE WEEK 2006. After all, who knows better than you the talent and skill it takes to become a WAVE WEEK delegate. Please take a moment now to think of someone you know who will benefit from WAVE WEEK, complete the nomination section of the application packet and pass the application along to the future delegate’s parent/guardian (remember, some of you were hesitant to come at first). The application can be found at http://www.sparkthewave.org
Parents sometimes realize great opportunities before we do. Please be sure to explain the program and why you are choosing to nominate their son/daughter.
If you would like to join our team or just hear more about what we want to do at Spark the Wave, please feel free to check us out at http://www.sparkthewave.org, call me at (202) 686-4354 or e-mail Bill Gallagher at bill@sparkthewave.org.
