Special Issue of NONPROFIT AND VOLUNTARY SECTOR QUARTERLY (NVSQ) on "Community and Grassroots Associations/Organizations"

This issue will highlight new research and theory on a wide variety of local grassroots associations and organizations that are important to democracy, social capital, civic participation, and civil society. Examples include social movement groups; self-help, mutual aid, and social service organizations; civic, recreational and leisure associations; youth groups; professional associations. Papers must be previously unpublished.
