Youth Health Empowerment Project has 2 Vacant Positions
Y-HEP offers a comprehensive range of health promotion and youth development programs using a harm reduction approach. Y-HEP is committed to supporting youth as they transition to healthy adulthood by providing the following programs: peer-based outreach, youth leadership and political education, and a non-judgmental drop-in center offering a family planning clinic, harm reduction counseling and groups, prevention services, and therapy.
The Youth Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating street outreach programs; training and supervising youth staff aged 16-21. The position requires strong communication skills, at least two years experience working in a mentor/coaching relationship with youth.
Responsibilities include:
? Coordinate street outreach to high-risk youth
? Supervise youth staff during outreach and workshops
? Develop workshop curricula for young women?s discussion group and workshops
? Provide harm reduction counseling
? Support personal and professional development of youth staff through mentoring and training
? Connect youth through grants, conferences, and workshops
Qualifications include:
? Experience working with youth
? Background in sexual health or D&A recovery
? Strong communication skills
? Minimum of BA degree and 2 years experience or equivalent
? Valid PA Driver?s License with clean driving history
? Proficient in Office 2000
? Knowledge of Spanish preferred

The Drop-In Center Manager is responsible for managing daily operation of the drop-in center and working one-on-one with high-risk youth using the harm reduction philosophy. In addition, the manager will assist the harm reduction specialist in serving the needs of our participants.
Responsibilities include:
? Coordinate activities, groups and events for participants in the drop-in center
? Work with clients to help them reduce the harm of their risky behaviors
? Supervise two logistical assistants
? Conduct participant intake and surveys
? Provide referrals and helping connect clients with other care and services
? Build relationships with outside service providers for client referrals
? Order materials and resources to ensure drop-in center is appropriately stocked
? Attend training workshops and conferences
Qualifications include:
? Experience working with youth, specifically at risk youth
? Strong written and communication skills
? Minimum of a Bachelor degree or 3 years in social services-related field required
? Proficient in Office 2000
? Knowledge of Spanish preferred
