Job Description ? Events Planner/Administrative Assistant
Salary Range: $26,000-30,000 DOQ
Supervisor – NEN Team Leader
Work Location: Harrisburg PA
Qualifications
? 2-year degree
? Strong skills implementing detailed tasks in timely, accurate and easily documented manner
? Aptitude for team-oriented goal setting and implementation
? Experience planning and implementing training workshops, luncheons and similar events
? Solid written and verbal communication skills
? Motivated by potential of nutrition education to improve life for food insecure households
? Able and willing to engage in frequent overnight travel using own vehicle
Duties
1. Plan and implement logistics related to Nutrition Education Network promotional and education events. (30 percent)
? Plan, publicize and implement logistics related to workshops, seminars and trainings sponsored by Network.
? Plan, publicize and implement logistics related to Network?s portion of annual conference.
2. Plan and implement logistics related to Nutrition Education Network meetings and communications. (20 percent)
? Schedule and facilitate the multiple meetings and conference calls among members of the Network, including Steering Committee and Executive Committee.
? Participate in all meetings (or arrange a substitute) and prepare and distribute minutes and meeting summaries to all parties.
3. Facilitate communications within Network membership. (20 percent)
? Identify information in media and on web that is relevant to the work of nutrition educators.
? Distribute information to Network members.
? Assist with preparation and publication of newsletter, website and other Network publications.
4. Support Nutrition Education Network team. (30 percent)
? Coordinate schedules, workflow, deadlines and office communications.
? Maintain accurate Network databases.
? Assist with travel arrangements.
? Answer Network telephones.
? Implement Network mailings.
? Initiate and complete research projects as requested.
? Collect relevant performance data and implement timely reports to funders.
? Other tasks as requested.
