HEALTH EDUCATOR/PROJECT COORDINATOR
NORTHWEST PHILADELPHIA TOBACCO CONTROL PROJECT
Drexel University is seeking a Health Educator/Project Coordinator to develop and implement a community tobacco education program for Northwest Philadelphia. Responsibilities include recruiting members for a Community Advisory Board and working with that Board to craft counter-marketing messages and develop outreach strategies for both adults and youth in the region; developing a public awareness media and education campaign that includes special events; and linking residents of the community to other Philadelphia Tobacco Control Program resources.
Qualifications are a Bachelor?s degree or higher in Health Education, Social Sciences or related field, 2+ years work experience with ethnic and racial minority communities, knowledge of program development, urban public health issues, health education planning, evaluation and community outreach. Exceptional interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and knowledge of PC applications also required.
Experience with Northwest Philadelphia community will be considered a plus.
