Data Department Manager

DATA DEPARTMENT MANAGER
Purpose: (Primary) Assists the IT Support Specialist, Trains, Supervises and Directs the Data Staff to ensure the timely and accurate processing, production and dissemination of reports for all information submitted to the Data Department.
(Secondary) Performs all regular Data Department duties.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensures the efficient and effective logistical operation of the Data Department:
a. Checks and insures completeness of data submitted for processing.
b. Tracks all student, tutor, site, and staff data being submitted to the department.
c. Provides Educators with a receipt detailing information received.
d. Troubleshoots discrepancies between Data Department records and educator?s records.
e. Reports unresolved discrepancies to IT Support Specialist
f. Trains data staff and reviews Data procedures with data staff and educators as needed.
g. Distributes information/reports to the appropriate areas.
2. Assigns the work within the Data Department
3. Enters data into databases.
4. Provides support for the computer system at CFL headquarters by completing the following tasks:
a. Troubleshoots computer problems within CFL Headquarters, as assigned.
b. Distributes site and staff lists.
5. Participates in agency activities including but not limited to fundraisers, staff meetings, team meetings, special projects, etc.
6. Must work during normal Headquarters? operating hours of 9 a.m. ? 5 p.m.
7. Perform other related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
1) High School degree and some computer training (Associates Degree preferred).
2) Excellent organizational skills.
3) Above average communication skills.
4) Computer literate ? required proficiency with databases (prefer some SQL), MicroSoft word-processing, and spreadsheets.
5) Some experience installing computer programs, hardware and operating systems with minimal assistance.
6) Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
7) Ability to work independently, problem solve, and take initiate as needed.
8) Previous supervisory experience in a similar environment.
Reports to: IT Support Specialist/Director
Job Classification: regular, full-time, non-exempt
Salary range: $25,000-$28,000 per year
