Position: Home Access Coordinator
Grade: 09
Salary Range: $30,343 — $37,929 — $45,515
Department: Community Impact
Position Summary: The Home Access Coordinator manages all technical aspects of the One Economy project including the installation of wireless neighborhood networks, computer installation into the homes of clients, and ongoing technical support and maintenance of the network and home PCs. The position also manages multiple volunteers and interns to ensure successful implementation and ongoing use of the networks.
NOTE: This is a 10-month position, with possibility of additional funding.
Job Responsibilities:
? Manages and coordinates the implementation of wireless networks working with volunteer engineers
? Manages and coordinates the building and administration of PEC and PCAH home networks focusing on ease of use, security, and making relevant resources available to clients
? Develops integration strategies with each agency in order to integrate existing applications and network resources with new neighborhood networks.
? Coordinates staff development trainings for Home access workshops.
? Assists staff at centers in planning and delivery of workshops.
? Manages computer refurbishment, distribution and installation.
? Regular progress reports to management and partners.
? Compiles best practices for home access programs.
? Provides ongoing support and troubleshooting for home access clients.
? Manages helpdesk volunteers from high school and corporations.
? Manages tech support interns from Youth works.
? Develops provides tech assistance brochure for home access participants.
? Manages for distribution of UTP/Youth Build tech support and computer repair.
? Attends team meetings and advisory board meetings to provide updates.
Desired Qualifications:
? Experience in wireless network infrastructure
? 3-5 Years Experience in Managing WinNT/2000 Networks
? PC Hardware/software support
? Project management experience, including managing multiple technical service providers.
? Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
? Ability to work with a variety of partners including a national non-profit, United Way, community based social service agencies, corporations, and government agencies.
? Excellent communication/writing skills.
? Experience in non-profit information technology or volunteer
