Planet Dog Foundation Seeks to Support Canine Service Programs
Deadline: August 1, 2007
Through its grant program, the Planet Dog Foundation (http://www.planetdogfoundation.org/) seeks to fund new and proven initiatives in which dogs help to give back to people in need through canine-service initiatives.
Funding will be allocated to organizations across the U.S. to promote and financially support service-oriented canine activities that include service dogs; therapy dogs; animal-assisted therapy; search and rescue dogs; police, fire, military dogs; and other innovative canine-service programs
Because the foundation’s grants do not exceed $5,000 each, it will review annual operational budgets to fund those organizations best able to maximize a PDF grant. The foundation earmarks the majority of its funding for smaller, grassroots nonprofits with budgets under $300,000, and only funds nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations. Applications will be accepted from anywhere within the United States.
Please note: The Planet Dog Foundation does not fund programs engaged in animal cruelty or testing, spay/neuter programs, or animal shelter or rescue program operating expenses.
