Community Outreach Partnership Center Grants

This NOFA announces the availability of approximately $7 million for the Community Outreach Partnership Center (COPC) Program. Purpose of the Program: To provide funds to community colleges, four-year colleges, and universities to establish and operate a Community Outreach Partnership Center (COPC) to address the problems of urban areas.
Available Funds: Up to $5.5 million for COPC New Grants and $1.4 million for COPC New Directions Grants.
Eligible Applicants:
Public and private nonprofit institutions of higher education granting two- or four-year degrees and accredited by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Application Deadline: July 9, 2004
Matching Requirements:
For COPC New Grants: 50% of the total costs of establishing and operating research activities and 25% of the total costs of establishing and operating outreach activities.
For COPC New Directions Grants: 65% of the total costs of establishing and operating research activities and 35% of the total costs of establishing and operating outreach activities.
