Best Buy Children’s Foundation to Award Grants for School Technology Programs
Deadline: December 31, 2003
The Best Buy’s Children’s Foundation is offering support to schools and educators who use technology "to make learning fun."
The foundation’s te@ch program awards grants of $2,500 in support of school programs or projects that creatively integrate interactive technology into the curriculum. This year, $3 million will be awarded to 1,200 schools across the United States.
Any K-12 public, private, or parochial school within twenty-five miles of a Best Buy store is eligible to apply. (For store locations, see the store locator at the BestBuy (<a href="http://www.bestbuy.com/">http://www.bestbuy.com/</a>) Web site. All schools must be nonprofit organizations, and non-public schools must include a copy of their IRS determination letters with their application. Applications must be completed by full-time teachers who have been teaching at the school for at least one full academic year.
Applications will be accepted through December 31, 2003, and will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The earlier an application is received, the better the applicant’s chances of receiving a grant.
