Book event focuses on growing hunger crisis
The Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger and other organizations are sponsoring the launch of All You Can Eat, a book by Joel Berg, on Tuesday, February 10th at 6:30pm at Penn’s Fisher Fine Arts Library, 4th Fl., 220 S. 34th Street in Philadelphia.
With the biting wit of Supersize Me and the passion of a lifelong activist, Berg has his eye on the growing number of people who are forced to wait in lines at food pantries and soup kitchens across the nation. All You Can Eat reveals that hunger is a problem as American as apple pie, and shows what it is like when your income is not enough to cover rising housing and living costs and put food on the table.
At this free event, Berg will speak about the book and other local hunger experts will respond. Books will be available for purchase and the author will sign books before the reading, so come early!
To RSVP for this event call Katie 215-769-0659.
