Multiple Cultures, Multiple Voices: Effectively Educating All Children

This three-day conference will offer research-based tools, strategies and resources to strengthen the education of English Language Learners through cross-system programs, services and partnerships. This learning conference will assist and support local reform efforts that emphasize academic achievement, school accountability, professional training and parent involvement.
Learn about current trends and cutting-edge research in language instruction. Learn from leading voices in the country on ESL instruction. Find out what is working in other states as well as schools in Pennsylvania. Network with colleagues, converse with educational leaders and share successful strategies.
Those attending the conference will:
Learn research-based best practices to modify and adapt standards-based instruction and assessment for English Language Learners
Develop greater cultural awareness and sensitivity that will create an educational environment that is conducive to learning for all children
Promote and strengthen parent and community involvement in educational settings
Gain instructional knowledge and information to develop effective standards-based lessons for ESL classrooms
