Call for Submissions
Deadline for Submission: Proposals must be postmarked or e-mailed by March 23, 2007.
Proposal Review and Selection: All submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by members of the Program Committee. With all proposal formats, the Program Committee retains the right to request additional information, ask that changes be made to improve a presentation, or decline to schedule a presentation the Committee does not find relevant to the meeting. No changes can be made after proposals have been submitted unless the Committee has specifically requested that change. All submitters will receive e-mail notification of the acceptance or rejection of the submission by early April, 2007.
Submitter Responsibilities: The commitment of all participants must be secured in advance of proposal submission. Only the submitter will receive notification of the proposal’s acceptance, detailed information on scheduling and logistics, etc. Therefore, if there are multiple participants, it is the submitter?s responsibility to keep them informed of their proposal status and other relevant information.
Presentation Format Descriptions:
Symposium: A focused session in which participants present their views on a common issue. A symposium should include a chair and up to four presenters. The total session time is 90 minutes and should allow for discussion among presenters and the audience. Symposia should have the dual goals of providing diversity of perspective and integrating those perspectives into a meaningful whole.
Individual Presentation: Individual speakers make a 15-minute oral presentation on their current research or any exciting conference topic. The presentation is followed by a 5-minute questions and comments period with the audience. Individual presentations will be combined with others to complete the 90-minute session format.
Proposal Preparation Instructions: Submitters must complete an abstract (50 words or less) to be used in the program description. Also submit a more detailed summary, not more than 500 words describing the individual presentation or entire symposium. Also, submit presenter?s name(s), affiliation(s), and e-mail address(es).
Program Participant Registration Policy
All program participants must register and pay the appropriate conference registration fee (scholarships are available).
