Call for Educational Session Proposals
Deadline for Receipt of Proposals is December 15, 2006
The American Horticultural Society (AHS) is requesting educational session proposals for the 15th annual National Children & Youth Garden Symposium Widening the Circle, hosted by the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum?s Public Policy Programs.
Educators, garden designers, community leaders, and children?s gardening advocates of all ages are encouraged to submit proposals, as the circle widens to look at fresh approaches and expanded audiences for children?s and youth gardening programs.
Your voice is needed as the circle continues to grow, gathering people from across the nation from various organizations, institutions, traditions, and cultures to exchange ideas for programs in children and youth gardening. Whether you have a new curriculum to share, successes with cultivating community support and funding sources, tools for developing youth leadership in gardening programs, or one of the many other facets of children and youth gardening programs, we want to hear from you!
From non-traditional classrooms to interdisciplinary studies and making a difference beyond the confines of the classroom walls, this symposium will provide the breadth of inspiration and the depth of knowledge for harvesting the power of children and youth gardening programs.
Come be a part of one of the nation?s premiere symposiums dedicated to children and youth gardening.
