4th International Conference on Imagination and Education
July 12-15, 2006
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
http://www.ierg.net/confs/
This conference will feature presentations from teaching and scholarly communities from around the world. Presentations will focus on our central theme of “opening doors to imaginative education: connecting theory to practice”. The keynote session will be an interactive satellite video session with Dr. Howard Gardner.
After three years of well received conferences, the IERG and the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University are excited to once again welcome people from around the world to our event. Each year the conference has brought together over 350 teachers, administrators, academics, graduate students and people interested in education to consider themes of imaginative education. This year’s event begins with an optional Professional Development Workshop in Imaginative Education on July 11th and 12th. This two-day workshop is designed for those who would like to familiarize themselves with the basic principles of “imaginative education” and to receive close direction in the implementation of these principles for teaching practice.
