Gro Harlem Brundtland
Former Prime Minister to Norway (1986-1989, 1990-1996), former Director General of the World Health Organization (1998-2003), Health Policy Fellow at Harvard University, and member of the United Nations’ High Level Panel on Threats, Challenges, and Change.
Richard Lessard
Director of Public Health of the Montreal Regional Health and Social Services Board, headed the Community Health Department of the Cit? de la Sant? de Laval (1982-1992), member of Canada’s National Forum on Health (1994-1997), public health consultant for the Department of Health and Sustainable Development of the World Health Organization in Geneva (1998-1999).
Francisco Armada (Featured Speaker)
Our featured speaker is currently the Minister of the Department of Health and Social Development, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Regional Director of the National System of Health for the State of the Amazon (1994 – 1996), Technical Advisor to the Presidential Commissions of Social Security (2001 – 2002), General Director of the Environmental Health and Sanitary Finance Office (2002 – November 2004).

If you are not yet a member of the International Society for Urban Health, you may join now and enjoy savings on your membership fee and on your conference registration.
