Call for Presenters: Tenth Annual Michigan Institute on Service-Learning

The Call for Presenters for the Tenth Annual Michigan Institute on Service-Learning is now available. It can be accessed on-line at http://www.micampuscompact.org/institute06.asp. (This conference website will be updated as pieces of the conference develop.)
The Michigan Community Service Commission (MCSC) and the Michigan Campus Compact (MCC) are pleased to invite you to consider presenting at the 2005 Institute on Service-Learning ?The Places We Live: Student Engagement in Diverse Communities.? The conference will be held February 16-17, 2006 on the campus of the University of Michigan-Flint.
More than 300 educators and students will gather to share ideas and best practices, and explore challenges, related to the successful development and implementation of service-learning. This year?s conference theme will encourage participants to examine service-learning through the lens of ?place?. Suggested topics include key issues and opportunities faced by educators and students in rural or urban environments.
Presenters receive a reduced conference registration rate of only $70. Please consider submitting a proposal and pass this call onto your colleagues in k-12 and higher education!! Applications are due October 14, 2005
