Conference on Ethical Commerce ? September 23-24 at Penn State
Friday, September 23, 2005 ? Bringing the Fair Trade Movement Home ? all day concurrent workshops at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on Penn State?s University Park Campus. Keynote speaker: Jonathan Rosenthal, co-founder, Equal Exchange
EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION: 150 early bird registrations will be accepted, so don?t delay! $50 standard, $35 students if registration and full payment is received by August 1, 2005. After August 1: $65 standard, $50 students.

Fair Trade Fair ? vendors and exhibitors, live music, speak-out on globalization, street performers and children?s activities, coffee ?cupping? or tasting workshop open to the public ? on Allen Street in front of the Municipal Building Plaza in downtown State College, Pennsylvania
The School of Living, a 501c3 non-profit organization based in Centre County, Pennsylvania, is hosting the first Conference on Ethical Commerce of our newly initiated Fair Trade Community Forum. Please see http://www.ethicalcommerce.org/ for a preliminary announcement about this conference. Workshop tracks include international trade and globalization, environmental justice and human rights, strengthening local economies, faith-based approaches to social justice, and marketing and promoting fair trade.
We welcome volunteers to help with organizing the conference and street fair; some work-swap (for conference registration) positions are available.
