How does Alternatives Federal Credit Union use the Credit Path in serving members and designing new programs?
Can the Credit Path help you extend services to people of modest means in your community?

Alternatives Federal Credit Union is presenting the third Credit Path? for Practitioners Seminar to answer these questions.

We use the Credit Path to identify members’ needs and build services for them, no matter what their economic situation. Our goal is to assist members by offering services and educational opportunities that help them move toward financial self-sufficiency. Want to see more about the Credit Path? Our staff has created a two day forum to share our work with peers. The agenda will include an overview of Alternatives’ strategic approach, organizational structure, and program development. Topics include: consumer, business, mortgage and community lending; financial education; Individual Development Accounts; microenterprise training; free volunteer-based income tax preparation; Student Credit Union; and fundraising.

Break out sessions will allow participants to study programs that most interest them. The seminar concludes with a tour of the community for a first hand look at how our programs translate into action.
