Rural Poverty in America
Posted by on January 28, 2005
Our friends in the Poverty Issues Program at Gettysburg College will host a conference entitled “Rural Poverty In America: What? So What? Now What?” February 25th to the 27th. This gathering is a great opportunity for students, staff, and faculty to examine the issues surrounding the cycles of rural poverty. Moreover, the timing of the event (immediately preceding spring break), presents the added opportunity to prepare those who will travel to rural places on alternative spring break service trips.
