Sustaining Programs through Effective Grant Writing

The National Community Education Association is offering several special winter/spring mini-conferences titled “Sustaining Programs through Effective Grant Writing and Group Work Skills” in four different locations. Below is information about the conferences.

NCEA Presents-Special Winter/Spring Mini Conferences

NCEA will be offering “Sustaining Programs through Effective Grant Writing and Group Work Skills” as a special Mini-Conference this winter and spring in four different locations.

The mini-conferences are intensive two day interactive workshops designed for Community Education and After School Professionals. The workshops take a unique approach to grant writing as part of a process that leads to sustainability. Conference attendees will learn very practical strategies for: understanding the requirements of public and foundation grants; creating grant proposals that get funded; maximizing the effectiveness of group planning while preparing grant
proposals; developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships; managing advisory councils that work; sustaining a productive program; and,Much, much more.

Dates and locations of the mini-conference series are:

Miami, Florida – February 7-8-Sheraton Miami-Biscayne Bay, 495 Brickell Ave., 305-373-6000*

St. George, Utah – February 28-March 1 – Comfort Suites, 1239 S. Main St., 435-673-7000*

Summerville (Charleston), SC – March 7-8 – Conference at Summerville Adult Learning Center, lodging at Country Inn & Suites, 220 Holiday Dr., 843-285-9000*

Kerrville, TX – April 16-17 – Y.O. Ranch Resort Hotel, 2033 Sidney Baker, 830-257-4440 (reference Texas Community Education Association).

*NCEA has negotiated special hotel rates for those registrants requiring lodging. Please contact the hotel directly and mention NCEA when making your reservations.

Presenters include: Dr. Duane Rupert, Sandra Grant, Nikki Lovell, Marilyn Keenan, Terri O’Dell, and Dr. Claudia Uribe. Each presenter has extensive training experience and has lead similar workshops for state, regional, or national organizations.
