Please join us for the 2005 CoRAL Annual Conference on Community Driven Research and Social Change in the National Capital Region. CoRAL invites papers, panels, workshops, and poster presentations on this year’s conference theme of “Building Social Capital in the Nation’s Capital.”

Registration Fee: $25 General, FREE for Students

Sessions will highlight community-based research and program innovations that foster the networks (cohesiveness among organizations and groups) and norms (values, beliefs, and trust relationships) that comprise social capital in greater Washington’s vibrant and diverse communities as well as service-learning and community-based research methodologies that assess social capital and promote civic engagement and social justice.

We encourage presentations on the following topics: Successful schools and educational innovations; Promoting healthy families and healthy communities; Livable wages and employment; Affordable housing; building and preserving diverse communities; faith and spirituality as resources for community building; and using culture and the arts to promote community development.
