Scholarships for community partners to attend public health conference
Posted by on July 23, 2004
The Community-Based Public Health Caucus of the American Public Health Association’s Membership Development Working Group has some funding for scholarships to encourage attendance by representatives of community-based organizations at the APHA conference, November 6-10 in Washington DC (for details, see http://www.apha.org). Only those who work for, or are otherwise affiliated with, a community-based organization, are eligible. An example of “affiliated with” in this instance means a Board member or community volunteer, NOT an academic or institutional partner.
If you are a CBO, or are aware of a CBO, (as defined above) who may benefit from receiving this funding, please send the following information to Stephanie Ann Farquhar at farquhar@pdx.edu and she will send you an application.

CBOs who are active in the workings of the CBPH Caucus, and/or who are presenting papers in sessions sponsored by the Caucus are given first priority.
The Priority Deadline for a completed application to be received is July 21, 2004. Requests received after this deadline will be awarded as funds are available.
