BLUE VISION CONFERENCE
July 11 thru 13, 2004
Washington, D.C.
Common sense solutions to the cascading disasters now confronting our seas and coastal communities do exist. But they need a social movement to express themselves. The next step in building a Blue Movement will be to convene the first-ever national conference of 250-300 leaders and activists from ocean and coastal citizen groups. The ‘Blue Vision’ conference will begin unifying various blue groups as a political constituency while also educating lawmakers on the need for an American Oceans Act that, like the Clean Air and Clean Water acts of the last century, can help protect, explore and restore America’s greatest public domain.
