1st Annual University-Community Partnership Conference
June 12-14, 2004

This is a regional conference, focusing primarily on partnership activiites and issues in Virginia and surrounding areas. However, we welcome colleagues from across the country to join us in our work.

-about resources available to your organization or institution to leverage effective partnerships.

-through workshops on implementing, sustaining, and assessing partnerships.
Our keynote speaker is Frankie Patton-Rutherford, executive director of Big Creek People in Action, a grassroots community organization working to improve life for citizens of McDowell County, West Virginia.
Other speakers include Jacqueline Dugery from the Pew Partnership for Civic Change, Randy Grayson from Virginia Tech’s Multicutural Opportunities Academic Program, and colleagues from Emory and Henry, Ferrum, Radford, Old Dominion, Virginia Commonwealth University, University of Virginia, Northern Virginia Community College, and Virginia Tech.
