Consumer Rights Litigation Conference

Every year, National Consumer Law Center and the National Assoc. of Consumer Advocates holds a Consumer Rights Litigation Conference. We are in the planning stages for our conference which is in Boston this year on November 5-8. The hotel in on our waterfront and the view of the city is fabulous.

For those interested in coming to our conference, we are looking for suggestions from potential attendees for sessions you would like to see in the Main Conference – no promises but if enough folks express an interest in a session it will help. We have a Basic track for consumer law beginners. Last year, we had a session of Hot Fringe Lending Litigation (which featured a RAL cross-lender debt collection case), a session on tax implications of consumer law cases, and a session of immigrant banking issues. In addition to the main conference, we are going to have four mini-conferences this year: intermediate predatory mortgage cases; counseling consumers drowning in debt; introduction to filing consumer bankruptcies; and a Class Action Symposium. We also may do the predatory lending legislative strategy session.
