ACD Annual Meeting / Structures for Inclusions Conference

Organized by the Association for Community Design (ACD), a professional support network, and Design Corps, a design service program, this joint national design conference–combining the ACD Annual Meeting and Structures for Inclusion IV–will explore methods and means for reaching out to underserved populations with professional design assistance. As the need for public interest design work grows, so does the importance of dialog among practitioners who are in the “trenches” of community design service and young designers interested in pursuing similar careers. This partnership will allow students, young designers, practitioners, and design advocates to share in the rewards of both conferences, which will be talking place at alternate times throughout the weekend. As in years past, join in the discussion between students, professionals and young designers to identify opportunities to serve the 99% of society that often has little access to our services. What decisions we face, what choices we make, will allow us to redefine the impact that architectural design is able to make. Registration for both conferences is just $25 for students, $50 for interns/recent graduates (within the last three years); $100 for ACD members; and $115 for professionals.
