Description: “Women in Higher Education: Building Solidarity Across Difference. Students, Staff, and Faculty,” to be held at DePaul University on March 5 and 6. The conference, which opens on the evening of Friday, March 5th and continues throughout the day on Saturday, March 6th, will explore issues facing women who teach, work, and learn in institutions of higher education in order to foster dialogue, collaboration, and solidarity. The “Difficult Dialogues” and Strategizing Sessions will address such issues as family and work conflicts, campus climate, corporatization, the “sticky floor” problem, tenure issues, advancement, career development, affirmative action, civil rights, tuition costs, housing, harassment,.
