Inspiring Citizenship through Service-Learning

Posted by on January 16, 2004

Join us for the 8th annual Institute on Service-Learning “Inspiring Citizenship through Service-Learning ” to be held February 5-6, 2004 on the campus of Grand Valley State University. This year’s institute is shaping up to be one of the best! Confirmed keynote speakers include Dr. Brian O’Connell, author of Civil Society: Underpinnings of American Society and Liz Hollander, Executive Director of National Campus Compact. A special and separate youth track is being developed for 9th grade-college students with keynote speaker Jamaal Young, service-learning advocate and recent Georgetown University graduate. The institute includes 9 incredible pre-conference sessions, workshops, panel discussions, dialogue sessions, and posters/displays. Sessions will be directed at higher educators, k-12 educators, and/or youth.

Take advantage of the Early Bird Registration rate for the Institute on Service-Learning by registering online by January 9, 2004. Simply visit our website at: http://www.micampuscompact.org/institute04.html to do so.
