Pride At Work’s 5th Biennial Convention
Calling all civil rights activists, allies and trade union members!
Are you concerned about the issues facing lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) workers? Do you want to meet other union and social justice activists who are building LGBT labor in their community as well as nationwide? Do you want to help build the progressive current in the labor movement today? If you answer yes to any of the above, then you should definitely make plans to attend Pride At Work’s 5th Biennial Convention, in the metropolitan Washington, DC area, September 18th – 21st, 2003!
Our 5th Biennial Convention is all about building power. Our goal is to send hundreds of activists back to their local areas energized and focused to build coalitions, build unions, and build Pride At Work! We have scheduled six tracks of exciting workshops.
Come hear labor movement leaders, rank & file members, and grassroots activists discuss strategies around many issues critical to our three political themes:
LGBT equality, immigration/anti-racism, union organizing
Scheduled plenary speakers include (partial list of confirmed speakers):
