On Friday, July 18, 2003 there will be a one-day conference held in Bridgeport, Connecticut to discuss the impact of Federal, state and local tax policies and program on the cities. This is a program open to the public, with a $50 registration fee for the day (which covers a continental breakfast and buffet lunch). There is Connecticut focus to this conference; however, the issues to be discussed are common to almost every community.
I will start the program with a presentation titled “The Wealth of our Nation and our Cities,” which takes a close look at the data on income and asset ownership in the United States. This paper is already available for reading at the conference website, which can be accessed at the following link:
http://www.geocities.com/cgoconfct2003.
Then select presenters and look for the paper. You can also examine the agenda.
I will be more than happy to respond to any inquiries about the conference or the paper.
