We invite you to submit a session proposal for the 2003 CTCNet Annual National Conference, June 26-29 in Washington, DC!
Apply online at http://www2.ctcnet.org/conf/2003/present/session.asp!
Deadline for Proposals: February 19, 2003
Notification of accepted sessions: March 1, 2003
About the Conference:
The CTCNet Annual National Conference has been the premier event in the community technology field throughout the past decade – no other conference draws representatives from so many of the most outstanding community technology programs together with community leaders, non-profit practitioners, funders and policymakers.
With attendance expected to reach over 700, this year’s conference will be the best yet! We?re looking for dynamic presentations and workshops on topics such as:
* Programs and Curricula;
* Policy, Advocacy and Organizing;
* Technology; and
* Organizational Development.
About Presenting & Sessions:
Sessions should be interactive – the most effective (and popular) sessions are those that involve attendees in meaningful and creative ways. Based on a great deal of input from conference evaluations over the past several years, preference will be given to applicants proposing workshops oriented toward building skills and resources, rather than panel presentations.
Sessions should also fit the learning tracks of the conference. Information on this year’s conference tracks can be found on our Presenter Opportunities page http://www2.ctcnet.org/conf/2003/present/session.asp. Most sessions will be 90 minutes long, but there may be opportunities for two hour sessions. Applicants should be flexible to hold their proposed sessions on any day of the conference.
CTCNet reviews each session proposal and takes care to ensure varied content and perspectives. All presenters should be open to co-presenting if CTCNet believes it is appropriate and should consider issues of diversity and disability access in their sessions.
Session Presenters and Organizers will receive a waived registration fee for the full day of the conference on which their session falls, or a discount of $100 off the $220 conference registration fee if they are attending the entire conference.
