Computer Instruction Volunteers needed, Philadelphia Youth Network
Posted by on October 6, 2006
I am looking for some volunteers to teach/mentor some students at the E3 Centers. Specifically, I am looking for volunteer/volunteers who would be willing to spend a short (1 hour per week) session teaching youth some basic web page design (how to use Front Page/Netscape Composer) and some basic graphic design. Graphic design volunteers are needed for programs in West Philadelphia and web page design volunteers are needed for programs in North Philadelphia.
These skills will be part of some very exciting youth-led community service projects I could tell you about. Essentially, the volunteer would be giving skills to these youth so that they, in turn, can serve their own communities.
Do you know of any local schools who might be able to help? [If that is you, contact Dan…]
