Neighborhood Bike Works has several events coming up, and we’d love to see you!

*Scrap Run*
On Wednesday, November 24 (the day before Thanksgiving) at 3.30pm, one of our excellent volunteer truck drivers will be making a scrap run. We can use all the hands we can get to help strip bikes and load scrap metal on the truck.

*Scrap Run II*
As you probably know, we have a regular Shape up Our Shop workparty from Noon to 3 pm on the third Saturday of most months (but not this month because of the above). Stripping bikes for salvageable parts and hauling away scrap is usually a major task at these events. While we have a small pool of drivers with trucks we call on for these events, we’re always looking for new folks ? especially ones who’d like to make once-a-month or every other month commitment.

*Major Taylor Ride*
Saturday, November 27 (Thanksgiving weekend), we’re hosting our annual Major Taylor ride, followed by a cook-out at Belmont Plateau. This is definitely a more makes merrier kind of event, so join us at 9am Saturday morning with your bike and helmet!

*Annual Giving Campaign/ Envelope Stuffing Parties*
(Time and days TBA.) Preparations for our annual giving campaign are well under way, and we expect this to be our biggest fundraising drive yet! If we can call on you to help stuff envelopes, if you can donate labels, envelopes, or printing services, or if you would like to make a financial contribution during this campaign, please let us know.

*Ongoing*
As always, NBW needs folks to help out in the shop, in the office, and with classes. Please contact us if you’d like to get involved with our daily work.
