Reboot Philadelphia : Seeking Intern Candidates
Posted by on July 11, 2003
Reboot Philadelphia is seeking intern candidates.
In addition to the training that we offer in office applications, Reboot also has an internship program that prepares students for a career in IT. This is a one year program that is free of monetary charges. Students take courses 4 mornings per week and agree to give back a minimum of 10 hours per week of volunteer time to Reboot. Their instruction consists of a strong foundation in database design, web page design, network admin, and an introduction to at least one programming language – usually VB. They then concentrate on getting A+, Network+, and MCSA certifications (all of which Reboot pays for). Students then complete a project in the community that is one hundred hours long.
There is a pre-requisite of mastery of the full MS Office Suite of programs but we can get those students who do not meet this qualification up to speed over the summer months. We accept a maximum of 12 students. Our first class of graduates are all working in their fields and making more than $30,000 per year
