Hours: 20 hours per week
Age: 18 or older
Requirements: arts background/education, interest in working with teens and youth, and experience working with painting, drawing, and sketching mediums
Village of Arts and Humanities: is a non-profit arts education program in North Philadelphia that serves primarily African American youth and their families. We provide visual arts, performing arts, tutoring, mentoring, work skills development, conflict resolution training, and environmental beautification projects for youth ages 6-18.
Description: Intern will be working with the Teen Coordinator to develop curriculum and assist/teach classes in drawing, painting, and sketch mediums. Projects will be cumulating and working through the summer. Intern will be provided with all materials, space, and creative opportunity. Interns will be working with teens and volunteers to develop these classes and projects.
