NEW STUDY SAYS FAMILIES, POLITICAL AWARENESS, AND THE DESIRE TO HELP OTHERS DRIVES VOLUNTEERISM
New research from The Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE) reveals that young volunteers are most likely to come from families where someone volunteers, and where politics is discussed. The report also revealed why young people volunteer. Overwhelmingly, the single most common reason young people cited for volunteering was “to help other people,” regardless of the type of organization.
