Hello Everyone
My name is Glenn McCracken and I wanted to take just a minute of your time to introduce you to “The Pride of Philadelphia.”
ThePrideofPhiladelphia.com is a brand new “community” website dedicated to joining the efforts of other groups, organizations, websites and blogs which attempt to communicate a positive theme about Philadelphia.
ThePrideofPhiladelphia.com reports the GOOD NEWS of Philadelphia !! We publish features about our remarkable Philadelphians – our “Giants”, our “Unsung Heroes” and our “Present Day Ben Franklins.” These people encompass all the neighborhoods and “blocks” of Philadelphia. It is essentially “news under the radar screen” which falls outside of the major media.
The hope and intent is that those who read our news will themselves be inspired and in turn, either begin or continue in, creating their own good news. They can be encouraged by knowing that other people in other parts of Philadelphia are working just as hard as they are in making our city a better place.
We also issue a free newsletter. You can download it by going to http://www.theprideofphiladelphia.com/theprideofphiladelphiaalmanac.html
Also, our website can post your upcoming events that you make us aware of. And through our “Giving Heart ? Good Cause” section, we can broaden the exposure to organizations such as Grace Caf?, which we just now became aware of as a result of one of your posts.
We also hope that you would contribute “stories” to our website, recognizing the good works of the good people in your respective groups. We know the unselfish people who are our “Unsung Heroes” don’t do it for the recognition. But a pat on the back sometimes goes a long way and beyond that, their stories inspire others to act.
Your feedback and ideas on the website would be very much appreciated. You can log on by going to http://www.theprideofphiladelphia.com/
Thank you very much.
Glenn McCracken
