New Report: Metropolitan Philadelphia Indicators Project 2006
Posted by on October 27, 2006
To see the latest compilation of social indicators covering more than 350 communities in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, go to the website of the Metropolitan Philadelphia Indicators Project (http://www.temple.edu/mpip) and see the newly released 2006 MPIP Annual Report. This third annual edition provides updated information about many topics covered in previous editions, along with a new section on land-use regulations contributed by Anita Summers and Joseph Gyourko of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a new analysis of educational quality by Kimberly Goyette of the Sociology Department at Temple University.
Along with our 2006 MPIP Annual Report, you will also find on the website a newly-released report, ?Focus on Education: Evaluating Schools,? which takes a look at several different ways of measuring how well the region?s public schools are performing.
As we release these new publications, we proudly announce the arrival of our new Project Coordinator for the Metropolitan Philadelphia Indicators Project, Michelle Schmitt. She joins us from the Center City District of Philadelphia to advance our efforts to supply high quality information for civic and research purposes. This project is funded by The William Penn Foundation.
