To combat illiteracy among youth in the United States, the National Urban League teamed up with Scholastic and the United Parcel Service to offer an after-school reading program in five major urban areas across the country. And to evaluate their reading program, the partnership turned to the AED Center for Applied Behavioral Evaluation and Research.

Children participate in a literacy group coordinated by the National Urban League. The program was evaluated by AED.
