Choosing the right books for young readers: Let kids be your guide
Are your volunteers who read to and with children continually searching for books that will draw students in and fire their passion for reading? Children themselves know best what they find engaging. The International Reading Association and the Children’s Book Council have released the 31st annual Children’s Choices booklist. Ten thousand school children from around the U.S. reviewed these children’s and young adults’ trade books and voted for their favorites.
