ANNOUNCING THE NEW CAN WEB SITE
Art in the Public Interest is proud to present the newly re-engineered Community Arts Network Web site. We’ve introduced new features to make the site more timely and useful, and we’ve redesigned the way information is organized to make it easier to find what you’re looking for. We have more news about community-based art and more ways to get it. You’ll be able to decide if you want to continue to receive APInews by e-mail by the month or instantly when it is posted on the site (more like an e-mailing list). If you use a newsreader, you can subscribe to our syndicated news feed that will deliver headlines and news summaries direct to your browser or newsreader software.
The Web site itself is more dynamic. Each category by which we sort our content now has its own home page. For instance, click over to Community Development and you’ll find the most recent essays and news in that category (with access to all of them), plus pertinent links and quotes from the archive. It’s a convenient way to keep up with the part of the field that you are most interested in.
And here are a few more new features: The CAN Bookstore, new (and more) search engines, upgraded interactive Forums, Opportunities, and Community Arts 101. And if you like the way it looks, you can tell your browser to make CAN your home page. Enjoy!
