Community Design Collaborative pro bono grant
Posted by on January 5, 2009
The Community Design Collaborative’s predevelopment design services grant program offers pro bono early design assistance to nonprofit organizations in greater Philadelphia.
The program is guided by the Collaborative’s commitment to increasing access to predevelopment design services; helping community-based organizations and community development corporations better fulfill their missions, build capacity, and provide services; and promoting healthy communities and enhance the quality of life within low- and moderate-income communities.
Service grants provide $15,000 on average in predevelopment design services and are performed by volunteer teams of architects, landscape architects, engineers, urban planners, preservationists, and other design professionals over a period of six months. An administrative fee of $1,000 is required at the start of services to offset direct costs.
To be considered for a service grant, nonprofit organizations must complete a written application and meet with a representative of the Collaborative.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and up to eight service grants are awarded quarterly. In order to be considered for a service grant award in February 2009, your application must be submitted by January 15, 2009.
