Philly Future http://www.phillyfuture.org/, since 1999, has been a locally focused blog, attempting to be a resource to the community.
Recently, the site has been re-launched and now is a platform for you to be heard by publishing information you feel is important – for free.
It aggregates all locally known bloggers in the area (if you have one – let me know and I will add you to the site) and provides you with tools to publish stories and events you think are important.
Philly Future, by aggregating bloggers across the area, and hosting tools that make it easy to publish direct on the site, is a platform for citizen based journalism. An independent voice that can represent the community at large – not some anonymous organization with its own aims and goals.
I welcome you to come to the site, see what it provides, send me feedback, and join. All this time it has been a one person volunteer effort – but now – with the tools currently in place – it no longer has to be.
