Our Family Involvement Network of Educators (FINE) has just released a new publication that may be of interest to you.
“Parental Involvement in Homework: A Review of Current Research and Its Implications for Teachers, After School Program Staff, and Parent Leaders” explores the reasons parents become involved in their children’s homework, the ways they are involved, and how their involvement contributes to student learning. Written by researchers from the Family-School Partnership Lab at Vanderbilt University, the review also suggests ways in which schools can invite parents to become involved in homework.
